The summer is always a busy month for the tearoom. Lots more families come and sample our amazing tea, cake and lunches and our team welcomes back students to work alongside the people we support to make this happen.
In other news, one of our team members recently took part in the Superheros triathlon at Dorney lake with a team of 24 Style Acre superheros. They swam, cycled and ran their way to the finish line, achieving amazing things and being part of a fantastically inclusive event that makes the spirit soar! There were some super achievements, with 6 people we support doing the whole triathlon, and others doing one or two legs as a relay. It was great fun being part of the 3,700 people taking part and just a wonderful atmosphere.
We were also delighted for another member of our team who has recently taken on another working opportunity with Style Acre. Not only does she work in our tearoom, she has now joined our Green Acre gardening team and has been busy learning all about garden maintenance. She is an incredibly hard worker and has made a huge difference to the group.
