One of our main activities in May was our Mindfulness Workshop which was run by Lifecoach Sue MacGillivray. In this workshop, we looked at the concept of mindfulness; its origin and benefits, ways to live mindfully day by day and how living on autopilot or multitasking gets in the way of calm. We also explored other ways to relax, live in the moment, be at ease and connecting with what feels right. All with a view in how it fits in with stammering. There was a big turnout for the workshop and great feedback for it.
We also published a story on our website about two sisters Luiza (8) and Isabella (6) who have been raising funds and awareness for the charity. Their story really is inspirational and can be read here: Inspirational Luiza and Isabella – Scottish Stammering Network
We are also currently planning on how we can get back to physical meetings and hope to have a meet up soon if restrictions allow it!
