Last month Genesis had a strong emphasis on arts and crafts as part of their “craft-fulness” campaign – ‘mending oneself by making things’. Typically, craft activities are limited to their Life Skills program, but this was extended to the Lifeline Centre with weaving, poetry and knitting classes. Vegware cups were used at all these classes, providing refreshments to encourage interaction and conversation throughout the activities!

It has been an exciting time for Genesis as they have recently acquired a new building to permanently house their Lifeline and Life Skills projects. The ‘Gateway Centre’ will open in April.
