In November 2023, English lessons continued for the young woman, a trip to the cinema was arranged and we began investigating options for her to play the guitar as she is keen to learn in the new year. The mother of the first family successfully passed her driving test which provided a great sense of achievement.
Plans are in full swing for the December celebration marking 3 years since the formation of the Edinburgh Refugee Sponsorship Circle. This will bring together the families, the many volunteers and the wider circle of supporters within the broader community who have all played their part in helping the two families resettle in Scotland. It is set to be a great evening!
