The Garden Gate guys enjoyed a couple of outings during the month of February…
We were invited to visit The Turner Contemporary in Margate to see their latest exhibition, ‘Entangled: Threads & Making’ an exhibition of sculpture, installation, tapestry, textiles and jewellery followed by some Arts & Crafts activities inspired by the visit.
In addition, we also had our annual trip out to Wyvale Garden Centre to buy seeds, plants and indulge in some tea and cake.
The Garden is now opening every other Saturday to host a Children’s Club with the objective of introducing Children to gardening, harvesting, cooking and feasting on the produce… our next generation gardeners had a great day full of activities… We’re sure they slept well that night!
February has seen some dramatic weather from Storm Doris to some beautiful sunny days… feels like Spring is on its way when the Snowdrops bloom… We are all definitely looking forward to the warmer weather!
