On 28th of January 2017 we had a ‘Burns Ceilidh’ with the ‘Caleerie Band’ to help us celebrate in style with our volunteers and with our local community from the babies and toddlers to our senior friends.

We were all birling round all evening!

Thanks very much to Vegware much for to your generous donation of disposable tableware. Lovely big plates to serve up our veggie & regular haggis and neeps  – nobody had to do the washing up which was a massive help! We had a fantastic evening and thanks again to you all.

We are well underway with our new activity terms: Tone& Flex, Adult Cooking, Women’s Aerobics, Chair Exercise and Adult Walking Group. We have new participants, new volunteers and some Napier Sports Science students helping and learning with some of our groups.

On 2nd February we had our ‘Broomhouse, Sighthill& Parkhead “Volunteer Blether”’ from 11am – 1pm to get together with many local organisations who could offer volunteering opportunities and services for local people who were interested in volunteering and wanted to find out more, including support and interest groups and charities, community health projects, CLD/CEC and Local faith groups.

We are preparing now for our school holiday activities, we will have ‘Cooking with Kids’at two local venues.
