Cilgwyn pop-up street party

The Summer ended with a Cilgwyn street party taking over a road closed for repairs. There was therefore no need for complicated licences. It was a joyous event with strands of all ages, incomes and backgrounds celebrating their community unity. There were old fashioned games like guess the weight and wack a rat and a coconut shy. There was sit down feasting and a ceilidh to live music. Beer was provided by the nearby microbrewery. No money changed hands but many vegetables were given away as prizes or just given. It was perfect.
