Garvald Waterside has been busy preparing for its Harvest Festival which took place last Saturday.  This was an opportunity for all our visitors to see and buy all the wonderful things our members have been growing and making:

  • Beautiful crafts and artwork from our Puppetry workshop (inspired by “Where the Wild Things Are”);
  • Garden produce and plants grown by our Land Group.  They also made natural soaps, tea bags from dried herbs, and notebooks from handmade paper;
  • Our Drama Group, Dreamworld, performed their amazing production of “Clown Town”;
  • The Kitchen team kept everyone well fed with their tasty lunch and MANY delicious cakes (and had also been busy making lots of seasonal jams and jellies).

The sun shone and the event was a great success, well attended by many of our supporters, and members’ friends and families.

The Garvald Director, Mike Casey, also used this event to launch Garvald’s Report, “Good Conversations” which introduced Garvald’s current work and future plans.

We thank Vegware for their support with their kind donation of cups and food waste bags so we can continue to recycle and reduce waste as much as possible.
