The Big Green Pig Project managed to grow some brussel sprouts for a festive Christmas dinner at a local residential living facility! Battling pests was a real challenge this season but with the funding support from Vegware we were able to purchase mesh to keep our veggies protected. Due to the very wet weather, we had limited access to the allotment but were still able to bring some festive cheer to our indoor fundraising workshops for the grandchildren of our participants, helping them make cards and gifts to show how special they are to them.
