Vegware funding update – May 3rd 2022
In April we had our first Rekindling the Ceilidh Youth Programme session. Following on from the success of our Story Camp in 2021, this programme will give the opportunity for older children to enjoy creative outdoor time in a welcoming environment, to hear stories and create some of their own. This day was facilitated by storyteller Dougie Mackay and outdoor facilitator Elly Kinross.
We continued to have the weekly Garvald group use the land, and the Dirty Weekenders, an Edinburgh University conservation group, came in the middle of the month to do tree care. The land also got booked out for a couple or private camping events and the Musical Forest continued to be used by the public.
We’ve been doing a lot of back end work this last month to prepare the summer storytelling youth programme and public events coming up throughout the summer months.
