It must be time to update Vegware with what we’ve been up to since the launch of our Positive Imaginings films in February, and how your funding continues to help support our work.

Thanks to your funding we can continue to rent our wee studio space from Out of the Blue at Meanwhile on Leith Walk. This is such a great place for us to work from, as we are linked in to other community organisations that are part of Out of The Blue. Also separating our work from our home is brilliant – especially when all our kit is full of mud and leaves from the forest!

Thank you!

As you know we also sometimes use your funding to help us with other funding applications, as having match funding is always well regarded.

We have secured some further support from Creative Scotland to continue to deliver our Positive Imaginings climate education programme to Edinburgh Primary Schools this Autumn. Our project has been recommended to every primary school by the Council’s sustainability in education lead, which is fantastic! And this all began with our wee crowdfunder that you supported last year – thank you so much for having faith in our work!

We are hoping to secure further funding for 2023 so the programme can continue to be rolled out throughout Edinburgh and beyond. Our fundraiser is busy writing applications for this next stage… We have had interest in the project from the British Embassy in Germany, and the KR Foundation in Denmark, and we are hoping to develop the project so it can be shared around the world. All very exciting!

We are also looking for a corporate sponsor(s) to help us fund the project in 2023, and are currently developing our sponsorship strategy. If Vegware would like to consider becoming a Positive Imaginings sponsor/ambassador/advisor please do let us know. We welcome any input that might help us achieve our aim – to enable every child to have access to empowering and inspiring climate education – that is informative, while taking care of children’s mental and physical health.

Best wishes,

Lucy
