Children of Adam
COA was established in 2011 to support vulnerable members of society who are either homeless or in need of support while they navigate their way through difficult times. The outdoor soup kitchen has served over 70,000 meals, distributed tens of thousands of items of clothing, shoes and sleeping bags, etc to help our guests.
COA was established as a way of reaching out to help our community here in London. Walking around central London you can’t help but notice the palpable and urgent sense of need. From elderly people sleeping in doorways in the rain to young people begging for loose change. The soup kitchen is an easy way of letting them know that they are not forgotten and they are not alone. It’s a simple process, a free hot meal, a free cup of coffee, a place to see familiar faces and have people ask how your week has been… A smile costs us nothing as volunteers but it can mean the world to someone who is down on their luck. It’s the least we can do for one another.
We aim to support anyone who attends our distribution, no questions asked. We also do our best to help provide them with clothing, shoes and sleeping apparatus, and other essentials which may make their lives more comfortable.
