Every November we launch our #noplasticnovember campaign to raise awareness about plastic pollution and encourage more poeple to make individual and collective changes.

This month our campaign aligned with COP26 in Glasgow. This has meant that we have been able to take action collectively and as ocean activists to raise awareness on an international level in our home country! We had two Instagram live sessions – one with surfers against sewage and one with a local community interest company that raises educational awareness around climate change.

We are really grateful for donations that were made for our Surf therapy!! programs during this month as well as the very kind donations for our giveaway draw. Big thank you to everyone who supported and took part in our campaign.

We have had some really wild weather on the east coast and last Friday was the biggest storm we have ever seen here with waves up to 28 foot. There was also 90mph Northerly winds. Many people in our area without power for 4 nights.

We have had to cancel lots of sessions this month due to poor weather and surf conditions.

We have had lots of time to plan for our programmes for next year as well as exciting developments in national and international networks to deliver more Groundswell Surf Therapy Programmes.
