In June our lovely herbalist Kathryn went off on maternity leave, and we welcomed Audrey Marchbank into the clinic to take over Kathryn’s patients. Audrey is a Medical Herbalist with many years of experience working out in Midlothian and we are excited to have her on board with us.
We had a summer break over a few weeks in June and while the clinic wasn’t running as often as usual we took the opportunity to meet with the Wester Hailes Medical Practice to discuss ways of evaluating our work in the area so the data can be used by others to set up similar practices elsewhere. We’ll be working on setting this up over the next few months. We also discussed further opportunities for collaborating with the medical practice and other services in the building, through providing readymade herbal preparations to be dispensed to GP patients, and selling our locally grown herbal remedies on the food co-operative’s weekly stall.
