BHSG Volunteer Activities and Updates We have had a very busy time in the shop with the introduction of the new till this month. The volunteers have got the hang of it very quickly.

Our ongoing ‘Tasty Bite Thursday continued with lots of very tasty items in our Fareshare boxes from Tesco that have enabled  us make up meal bags including  Brocolli Pasta, Root Vegetable Mash, Various Smoothies, Avocado dip, Mushroom Paella, Carrots and Turnip Slaw.

Investing in Volunteers confirmed that we have received the Award for a second time. A plaque and certificate should be on its way to us soon

We have been getting our new terms underway in May with the following sessions –

Our newest addition to our physical activities  – Tone & Flex low impact exercise has been well attended and is already popular and as we continue new terms of Adult Cooking, Women’s Aerobics and Buggy Gym and ongoing Chair Exercise and Adult Walking Group we are pleased they are all being well attended too.

We also have our new ‘Baby’s First Foods’ weaning class starting in May will 11 mums taking part, A new meal bag will be offered to the Baby’s First Foods class that includes an ice cube tray to help store the purees.
