BHSG Volunteer Activities
We are all pleased to be back to see our customers back in the shop after our nice winter break. The chilly weather are making our ‘soup bags’ very popular. We sent out our Winter Newsletter and we’ve had lots of enquiries about activities and volunteering, with people trying new things in the new year.
Some of our other activities in the community –
The new term of Adult cooking groups and exercise groups has started, alongside ‘Cooking up a story’ in local schools and the library. We have a very large group of older adults ( up to 19!) enthusiastically enjoying the chair exercise. We have new mums are attending our Buggy Gym sessions.
We have had a friendly ‘Time Bank’ social event at The Broomhouse Centre cafe with our ‘Winter Warmer’. We had arts and crafts and relaxation therapies, head massage and nail painting, and a display of a lovely dolls house that one of our Time Bank members dresses as a hobby. All finished off with a nice cup of tea!
We are preparing now for our school holiday cooking activities Adults and children and a Buggy Gym Event of February.
