What a dramatic month March has been with all the snow drama, fortunately it didn’t disrupt our services too much and we managed to open for family session in Edinburgh on the Saturday. We are all very much looking forward to Spring and the days getting warmer. Even with the playground covered in snow the playteam were able to get creative with our families and used paint powder to turn all the snow into multicolours. The place looked amazing and all the children loved making lots and lots of mess!
This month a lot of our clubs have been taking part in Mother’s Day art, making craft items and cards to take home. Our Wednesday 10-14s have been enjoying getting messy with Holi powder paint and had a paint war during their club. Messy art is obviously the theme of March!
We have also started our Easter activities, which all kicked off with the Wednesday 10-14s club and the Thursday teen club getting involved in a joint Easter egg hunt! Everyone got stuck in hunting down all the Easter Eggs, and eating them as they went. The clubs also made Easter egg nests which they took home to their parents.
Over the weekend we have Easter bonnet making planned, more Easter egg hunts and one of our playteam has even made a spring chicken Easter piñata!
