Since beginning to receive the amazing donation we have since been given the use of an empty shop unit rent free which has been amazing .
Finding community funding is difficult so we rely on donations and fundraising to be able to share out hot foot and non perishable foods.
The Hub space we now have has meant we can serve up proper breakfasts and hot meals on a daily basis and obviously as we are kept going by donations and fundraising not having to purchase food containers ,cups, bags and cutlery means we have a lot more cash to spend on food.
We are also so happy to be helping the environment and recycling by using all the excellent items you donate. We are serving between 80 and 100 people in our community a day which is incredible as not only are we reaching a lot of people but it also represents the need for food support and the cosy of living crisis bearing on people and families.
We also give people food home with them in the containers, so it’s kept warm, fresh and safe for them to transport.
