Rhubarb Farm - November Update

We began November with a Bonfire Night event on Saturday 3rd November in the playing field next door. We had a larger selection of fireworks than last year due to donations from the community. Hot drinks were sold from our newly refurbished caravan and we sold food from the BBQ.

Rhubarb Farm welcomed Richard, Jo and Isobel to the team. Richard and Jo are buddy workers and Isobel has been taken on with a Microjob to help improve her confidence and to work with a student from a school placement. All three are former Rhubarb Farm Volunteers.

November also saw the arrival of four new piglets called Ariel, Betty, Cybal and Doris. Our volunteers enjoy helping to take care of the piglets, including mucking them out!

The Welbeck Estate invited Rhubarb Farm to have a stall at their ‘Welbeck Winter Weekend’ event. We attended for three days and sold crafts made by our volunteers and staff.

The volunteers along with the help of two of our support staff, Nathan and Miquel, created a small obstacle course on the playing field next door to encourage exercise.
