Work is continuing to prevent food going to landfill. We are starting to see a change in fruit and veg to more seasonal items are also participating in the Sainsbury’s scheme allowing their shoppers to donate food to charities for Christmas. We have used our Christmas Elf in helping to promote the community fridge. We are working with the initiative from Essex County Council – United in Kind. This county-wide project is supporting local initiatives to spread kindness within their community and share good practice between organisations.
