The past month has seen us increase our efforts here in Dundee and making more connections locally.
We’ve started working with some local veg growers and the Community Fridge which has enabled us to keep making free nutritious vegan meals for folk needing a good meal.
In addition to our monthly city centre stalls we’ve been heading out on the second Friday evening of the month to distribute sandwiches and hot drinks to some of our community that are out pan handling and trying to get by.
We’ve noticed a very apparent trend that how Universal Credit is being rolled out is very much to the detriment of our community so it’s been very rewarding to be able to consistently support our community.
We’re thankful for the positive responses to our efforts from our community and we’ve managed to make meaningful relationships with people who are very happy to enjoy our company and share a good chat over a hot beverage – in a Vegware hot drink cup of course!
