We got funding during lockdown for electronic tablets to allow the men to keep in touch with each other and their families. See photo of Tommy taking receipt of his tablet.
Sunflower competition didn’t do so well but tomatoes did very well – as did growing houseplants mostly geraniums on window ledges. We were able to re-open officially on 3rd May and the guys are delighted to be back. We have electronic lanyards from the Scottish Mens Shed Association that “beep” if anyone comes within 2 meters so they can step back to a safe distance. Lots of outdoor maintainence getting done now that the weather is improving
