This month from the kintyre weigh shop in Campbeltown:

Hope strang and Kenny Craig have taken over the responsibilities of the kintyre weigh shop in Campbeltown with Kenny Craig maintaining the role of retail lead and Hope Strang as engagement lead.

The two born and bred Campbeltonians have gelled with the shop, finding the message to reduce waste as individuals to keep our only planet as green as we can truly inspiring, they are excited to bring new ideas to the table. These ideas include but are not limited to key cutting by Kenny and home baking by Hope made from in house zero waste products.

Kenny, having ran his own shop for multiple years, has  found that key cutting was extremely successful at his own store and therefore has decided to start up once more in the kintyre weigh shop to help provide a essential service once more to the small town.

Hope on the other hand, ran a small baking business in the town during COVID providing loafs of bread to the doors of elderly people who were struggling to wait in lines for the grocery stores and delivering fresh cakes to local shops for the public to buy and indulge in.

Both are looking forward to taking on the responsibility of the shop and look to continue the work of helping provide the people of Campbeltown the opportunity to buy zero waste products. Through this, they hope to open minds and spread awareness about how adopting a zero waste lifestyle can benefit the environment and begins the work towards a more sustainable future.
