Hello once again from the team at the Kintyre Weigh!

We are happy to say that the last month has been full of meetings, discussions and ideas on how to better our shop for the community and promote less waste and better environmental attitudes in our town.

We launched our ‘Kintyre Take-A-Weigh’ boxes to align with plastic free July and so far they have been a hit! our logo for the boxes was designed by a young girl from one of the local primary schools which helped to further promote the idea of conscious consumption in regard to food waste and plastic waste is a safe and fun way for all participating children in the schools. Due to winning our competition young Charolette won an ecofriendly, wooden art set and mixed media sketch pad and three months free of our boxes. we came up with a catchy logo for our boxes; less waste more taste’. and are attempting to work closely with local businesses to promote shopping local in our community.

We are very excited about the upcoming renovations that will be happening in store and hope that brighter and more welcoming themes, unified storage for goods, and coherent labelling will all prove pleasing to the eye of our current customers and bring in new ones.

We have also moved away from political themes in shop that are not directly engages to climate, environmentalism, and less wastage as we had had many customer complaints about mixed messages in store. we are happy to say that since making this change, we have had no complaints.

All in all, it has been a successful month for the Kintyre Weigh shop, and we hope that next month is even more of a success.
