img_8316The 5th anniversary of our Young Marketeers Harvest Sale was a huge success this month with our tiny market traders raising £395 for food surplus charity FareShare. Students from 15 schools across London set up shop at Borough Market to sell their school-grown Autumn produce which included plenty of pumpkins, squash, apples, beetroot. Back in the Spring, schools received gardening training from Blue Peter Gardener, Chris Collins and a visit to borough Market to learn trade secrets on how to create a winning stall. An eye-opening visit to the FareShare depot showed students how the money they would raise would be used.
