School Food Matters - November Update

In November, four Southwark schools set up shop at Borough Market to sell baked goods representing their cultural heritage. The Celebration Sale, the fifth addition to our Young Marketeers programme, saw schools bring along an array of delicious treats including Ecuadorian empanadas, Jamaican slice, North African spicy bread muffins, and Somalian biscuits to represent the students cultural diversity. The Schools raised an impressive £320 for FareShare, allowing them to distribute 1,280 meals to vulnerable families across the capital.
