Thanks to the recent warm weather, the raised bed at the Village Hall is showing first signs of real growth. Sunflower plants, which were raised from seed in the greenhouse, were tagged and planted by children in the village. A prize will also be awarded at our Village Summer Fete to the child that has grown the tallest sunflower.
The Community Garden itself shows early growth from the potatoes planted last month, and the cauliflower plants are doing well too along with the beans and onions. Early shoppers at the Village Hall have been able to enjoy the delicious Rhubarb too.
