In January & February, we are continuing to run our clinic as usual as well as try and take advantage of the long nights to plan exciting developments for the year ahead. We are hoping to hear soon if we have been awarded funding from the Wester Hailes Community Trust to make a film about our clinic and associated projects. If we get that money, we’ll go ahead and make a start soon.

We are also excited to be meeting this week with Dr Stefan Ecks, Professor of Medical Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. Stefan spent many hours with us over the past few years observing our patient consultations and writing up a piece of research about our work. We will be hearing his results for the first time and are very much looking forward to sharing them.

We have also got the first dates now for our upcoming Communitea sessions this year – we’ll be running regular sessions again focusing on growing and foraging medicinal plants to turn into teas for distribution in the community.
