Preparations for Spring are well and truly underway by the Waterside Land Group at Garvald Edinburgh. Our members have been tending to the vegetable and flower seedlings in the greenhouse, ensuring they are ready for when the warmer weather arrives.
Refurbishment work has almost finished in the back yard, creating more raised planters to allow for more growing opportunities. In addition, it has created a lovely, light and airy outdoor shelter for members. Support for this project has come from Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust. Garvald members and staff have also been working hard on this, adding colourful touches and creating some of the brightest compost bins in Edinburgh!
With Easter just around the corner, our members have been making Easter egg decorations using handmade paper and pressed flowers.
