On the 23rd of July we had our 3rd annual music day here in the garden. The weather was fantastic and it was a sellout with about 350-400 people attending. On the day we had pizzas and vegan salads using produce from the garden, there was a local beer and cider bar, and a botanical cocktail tent run by friend of the garden (food stylist) Annie Nichols. Annie used herbs, fruits and vegetables from the garden to produce syrups such as pea and mint, nasturtium and marigold, honey and lavender and raspberry and rhubarb, these were then mixed into either alcoholic or non alcoholic cocktails. As you can imagine these were extremely popular. All the musicians played for free and and we managed to raise £5000.00. This could of only been achieved by the hard work of our staff, volunteers, trustees and friends giving us their time and skills.
