So spring/summer days are here and we’ve had lost of fresh energy and momentum at the scrapstore and workshop bus. The bus was featured in the Evening news and Scotsman as creative reuse of an old bus, you can read the article here:

The bus held it’s first workshop at the Spring Fling, an event hosted by all the projects on site, with over 300 people attending on the day.

The bus was home to a mosaic workshop using old broken tiles.  Kids drew designs that were transferred into woodenboards and then mosaiced.  We managed to finish two boards and started two others. The rest of the mosaics will be finished in open public workshops every Saturday and by kids from Tollcross primary school who are coming soon to learn mosaic techniques. Once finished the wooden boards will be displayed on the outside of the community wikihouse for all passers by to see and admire!
